The Packaging & Processing Innovation and Design Awards (PIDA) 2018
 

The Packaging & Processing Innovation and Design Awards (PIDA) 2018 is here, it will be taking place on 2nd May in Queensland. The event is organised by the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP), the Australian Packaging & Processing Machinery Association (APPMA), and the Packaging Council of New Zealand. The awards recognise innovative packaging design and materials processing in Australia and New Zealand.

Four awards will be announced per category; Materials & Packaging, Packaging Equipment,  Sustainable Packaging & Processing, and Save Food Packaging Design within the following categories:

  1. Food

  2. Beverage

  3. Health, Beauty & Wellness

  4. Domestic & Household.

Amongst the finalists is the StayTray designed by the team here at Hone for our client Kate Stewart. The StayTray is a reusable drink tray made of recycled materials and designed to safely carry multiple types of cups and bottles including; disposable and reusable coffee cups, fast food drink cups, sports drinks, and baby bottles. Other noteworthy finalists are; BioCane takeaway containers made of rapidly renewable sugarcane pulp, Radix Nutrition’s foil breakfast pouches, and Crush Mate Bottles.

The PIDA packaging design awards will be taking place this Wednesday at the Marriott Resort Surfers Paradise.
